Founder of Bright Spark Collective
Hi, I’m Lauren — a teacher with over 10 years’ experience working with children and young people across both primary and post-primary education.
I’ve always been passionate about helping pupils grow in confidence, particularly when they begin to doubt their own ability or feel overwhelmed by a subject. I believe the best progress happens when a young person feels supported, understood and comfortable enough to ask questions.
Alongside teaching English and Drama at GCSE and A Level, I hold an MSc in Individual Specialist Assessment and SEN, which has strengthened my understanding of how children learn and how teaching can be adapted to suit individual needs.
My tutoring approach is calm, encouraging and personalised. Whether a pupil is preparing for SEAG, GCSE or A Level, my aim is to help them understand what they’re doing, develop effective strategies and feel more confident in their own ability.
For me, tutoring isn’t just about improving a grade it’s about helping each pupil recognise what they’re capable of.
