2027 Production
Annie JR.
🎭 Bright Spark Collective NI Presents… Annie JR!
The sun will come out tomorrow… and we’re looking for our cast!
Bright Spark Collective NI is delighted to be launching our first full youth theatre production - Annie JR!
We’re looking for enthusiastic young performers aged 10–18 to join us for an exciting programme of rehearsals, performance training and production work, all leading towards a fully staged performance of Annie JR in April 2027.
Whether you’re an experienced performer or stepping onto the stage for the very first time, we’d love to hear from you.

Who are we looking for?
We’re casting a range of roles, from principal characters to featured and ensemble parts, so there are opportunities for lots of different personalities and experience levels.
You don’t need to arrive as the most confident person in the room. At Bright Spark, our focus is on helping young people develop their skills, build confidence and become part of a supportive creative team.
Throughout the production, cast members will develop:
- Acting and characterisation
- Voice and performance skills
- Movement and stagecraft
- Confidence and communication
- Teamwork and ensemble skills
- Audition and rehearsal experience
- The experience of creating a full-scale theatre production

Meet Lauren,
Founder of Bright Spark Collective
My name is Lauren and I am a Drama teacher with ten years of teaching experience. I am passionate about giving young people the opportunity to experience everything that is special about being part of a theatre production — from the first rehearsal and discovering a character, to building friendships, developing confidence and finally stepping onto the stage.
Through my years of teaching Drama, I have seen first-hand how powerful performance can be for young people.
A production gives every cast member something to work towards, while helping them develop creativity, communication, teamwork and self-belief along the way.
Bright Spark Productions has been created to offer young people a supportive, encouraging and inclusive place to perform, learn and grow. Whether your child already loves being on stage or is joining a production for the very first time, my aim is to make sure they feel valued as part of the cast and confident enough to challenge themselves.
For me, the most important part of a production is not simply the final performance. It is everything that happens along the way — the friendships formed, the skills developed, the confidence gained and the feeling of being part of something exciting.
I want every young person who joins Bright Spark to have the opportunity to find their place, discover what they are capable of and experience the magic of bringing a production to life.
